Our Texas Upland and Dove Hunting Ranches

Located just 30 minutes from the San Antonio airport this ranches offer first class upland and dove hunts. You will find the accommodations second to none, from the quantity of birds to the lodging, staff, guides, and fine chef prepared meals.

Lodging

The lodge has all the comforts you come to expect: a big rustic stone fire place, a lot of living area with big couches, a well stocked bar, and a broad porch with rocking chairs to watch the beautiful Texas sunsets. Just completed, a new 3,000 square foot sleeping quarters that can accommodate up 24 guests with very spacious rooms that have their own bathroom, wireless internet, flat screen TV with satellite and vaulted ceilings.

Meals

The quality of the meals and creative menus sets this hunt apart from all others. Our chef prepares three meals a day and all are extravagant from Eggs Benedict to venison sausage and biscuits. Lunch: quail nachos, grilled chipotle chicken, bacon wrapped beef tenderloins. Dinner will bring our favorite Certified Black Angus steak, we'll fire up the pit and grill it to your specifications. Finish with homemade peach cobbler and ice cream. And after it all settles, we will make our way over to the saloon where the bartender will serve up some after dinner drinks. We're happy to customize our menus to accommodate our guests' special requests, so let us know what you like, and we'll see that you get it.

Dove Hunts

Our ranches are a dream for those looking for spectacular dove hunts. It has grain fields of milo and millet that hold white wing and mourning dove throughout the ranch. If hunting around water ponds is your style, then you will enjoy fast action dove hunts at their finest.

Package Includes:

• Rates: 3 Full Hunts (3 days/2 nights)- $895 per hunter
• Non- hunter: $200 per day
• 5 hunters minimum

Upland Hunts

Our Upland hunts are a classic walk-up, mixed-bag experience to accommode those looking for an alternative to our specific dove hunts. Your hunt will begin with meeting your guide and a chance to warm up with some clay target shooting, if you like. Then your party is on its way to your assigned field. Bird dogs range the fields, pointing and flushing plentiful coveys of quail, chukar, and pheasant. After the hunt, while you wind down and swap stories, your birds will be breasted, vacuum packed, and iced down in a take-home insulated game bag. The ranch provides blaze orange hunting vests and snake gaiters for use during the hunt. You will need a current hunting license.

Central Texas Upland Bird Hunts

Just one hour east of Austin, this ranch offers some great Upland hunts (Quail, Pheasant, Chaukar). It’s very affordable with lots of shooting action. The ranch has a great diversity of habitat for both upland bird as well as other game with native grasses and short brush, with some improved pasture and lightly wooded uplands and heavily wooded bottomlands. All hunts are set up to provide you with as close to an actual wilderness hunting experience as possible. This is a walk-in hunt. Every upland hunt will have an experienced guide as well as trained dogs. For the hunters that can’t walk as much as they use to, we can make arrangements for them as well. You will leave with a very successful and memorable hunt.

Lodging

There’s a very nice cabin on the ranch that sleeps six. There’s also RV hook ups and camping sites as well as two sport shooting stations.

Rates

Full Day Guided Hunts
9am-5pm, minimum 3 hunters $600, ($200 each additional hunter)

Includes the following:
FREE shooting lessons, 1- round of sporting clays, bird processing

Not included:
Additional rounds of clays- $10. each

Cabin rental- $35. per person, per night
